Metropolitan strategically leverages work-sites in peri-urban communities to drive consumer engagement at a hyper local level & entrench the brand into the community. The brand wanted to elevate the impact & role it plays in these communities by creating a social impact initiative that is a tangible expression of the brand pillar “Power of the collective” in ways most relevant & impactful to the daily lives of community members.
To authentically understand the challenges faced by the community, our team embarked on a culture immersion journey to Polokwane to spend time living in the community & engaged local cultural influencers to unpack community pain points. The results of the immersion is the ”Collective Shapers” program, aimed at upskilling & mentoring the youth of Polokwane in agriculture, a key economic activity in Polokwane.
